As a tutor who also works in New Hanover county schools, I have a unique perspective because I get to see both worlds of the students: the home world and the school world. I have experienced the difficulty of being a teacher with a large class and many students who need extra support. I have also experienced the frustration of the parents who's child is not getting the support he/she needs. Having this perspective, and more importantly, seeing how these things impact the most important vessel, the student, is what makes me more passionate than ever about being involved in the intricate components of the education system in North Carolina.
